Why the right choice can feel unclear
Hard decisions rarely place obvious good on one side and obvious harm on the other. Islamic ethics takes this conflict seriously. A careful decision can consider intention, responsibility, consequence, justice, and mercy from multiple angles.
Questions before certainty
What responsibility genuinely belongs to me? Who bears the cost of my choice? Am I avoiding a necessary action because it is uncomfortable? Am I calling an impulse a duty because it benefits me?
A practice for today
Write the decision in one sentence. List the people affected, the values in tension, and the facts you may be avoiding. Then seek counsel from someone wise who is not invested in a particular outcome.
